FORT WORTH, TX – On Sunday, game three between Kansas Wesleyan (KWU) and Texas Wesleyan (TXWES) was played in Sycamore Park, with the Rams taking the win 9 to 4.   

The TXWES victory was anchored by pitcher Sutton Tidwell, who threw for four innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out nine. Reliever Jorge Carvajal showcased a solid performance, earning the save. On the opposing side, Pedro Ramirez took the loss for Kansas Wesleyan.

In the first inning, Texas Wesleyan's Ryan Flores doubled down the right-field line, ushering in TJ Tomlinson and resulting in an unearned run.

Texas Wesleyan extended their lead in the third with Rody Garcia's RBI single, bringing in Tomlinson.

Kansas Wesleyan retaliated in the fourth when Z.ack Beatty launched a two-run homer, leveling the score at 2-2.

Texas Wesleyan surged ahead in the fourth and fifth innings, amassing five runs, highlighted by a double from Brandon Rincones and an RBI single by Aiden Kenney.

The momentum continued for Texas Wesleyan in the sixth and seventh innings, securing a comfortable lead.

Despite Kansas Wesleyan scoring two unearned runs in the seventh, more was needed to bridge the gap.

Key contributions for Kansas Wesleyan included Beatty, who contributed with a home run, and Jacob Williamson, who recorded a double and an RBI. 

Noteworthy performances for Texas Wesleyan came from Tomlinson, Flores and Dylan Masanda, each with multiple hits.

The Rams move to 1-2 on the season, while the Coyotes leave Fort Worth with a 2-1 record.

The Rams will next play at home on Friday and Sunday, with two games against Park University of Arizona on Friday, with the first pitch scheduled for noon Friday. In addition to two games against Benedictine University, with the first pitch is scheduled for noon on Sunday.
