FORT WORTH, TX - Texas Wesleyan University got swept by Mid-America Christian University 3-0 in a conference matchup at the Sid Richardson Center in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday.
With set scores of 25-22, 25-22, and 25-22, MACU improved to 12-7 overall and 8-4 in the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC), while Texas Wesleyan fell to 13-7 overall and 9-3 in conference play.
Despite a solid defensive effort, the Rams struggled offensively, hitting just .100 for the match compared to MACU's .157. MACU's Miriam Nardi led all players with 12 kills, while Texas Wesleyan's Hanna Rubis recorded 10 kills and seven blocks. MACU outpaced Texas Wesleyan in key areas, including blocks (7-10) and aces (7-4).
The Rams put up a fight in each set, but MACU's balanced attack and consistent defensive plays helped them secure the victory.
