WAXAHACHIE, TX - Texas Wesleyan fell to Nelson (Texas) 4-1 in a matchup at LAC Stadium on Tuesday.

The Rams, now 3-8-2 overall and 1-3-1 in conference play, struggled to find their rhythm against a strong Nelson team that improved to 9-5-0 and 4-1-0 in conference play.

Nelson opened the scoring early, with Anna Bewley netting the first goal in the 12th minute, assisted by Daisy Altamirano. Nelson extended their lead with a strike from Stephanie Hernandez in the 18th minute.

In the second half, Bewley scored her second goal of the night in the 53rd minute, followed by a goal from Samantha Delgado in the 85th minute. Texas Wesleyan's Gracie Spradley scored a late consolation goal in the 89th minute.

Despite a solid defensive effort with four saves, the Lady Rams were outshot 20-3. Bri Baldwin received a caution in the 76th minute.

The Rams will return home to play Saturday at 1 p.m. against Mid-America University.
