FORT WORTH, TX — Texas Wesleyan football has secured its place among the nation's best, earning the No. 8 seed in the NAIA Playoffs and a first-round bye. The Rams' remarkable undefeated season has set the stage for a historic home game on Saturday, Nov. 30, with their opponent to be determined after this weekend's opening-round matchups.

The Rams concluded the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record, including 8-0 in Sooner Athletic Conference play. Standout performances by quarterback Carson Rodgers, running back Ernest Ceasar, and wide receiver AJ Bobb fueled an explosive offense, while defensive stalwarts Arian Bhat, Zeno Marcheselli, and Ashalli Cannon consistently delivered critical stops.

Athletic Director Ricky Dotson praised the team's resilience after narrowly missing the playoffs in the past two seasons.

"To me, one of the most satisfying parts of our trip to the FCS Playoffs is the fact that we've been so close the past two years, and to see our guys breakthrough in commanding fashion has been fantastic," Dotson said.  "Last year was a heartbreaker, but we had leaders on our team and a coaching staff that refused to give into the disappointment.  Now, they are bringing all of us along for a great ride.  It's been a record breaking season, and I expect our team will do everything in its power to continue the journey."

With the Nov. 30 game marking the first playoff contest in program history since the football team's return in 2017, excitement is building across campus and among fans.

Ticket information and additional details about the matchup will be released Wednesday. Fans are encouraged to pack the stands and show their support for a team that has brought pride to Texas Wesleyan University.
