Siloam Springs, AR – On Saturday, Texas Wesleyan faced off against John Brown University and = fell short, losing 69-78.

The first half saw the Rams struggling to find their rhythm, shooting just 26.67% from the field and 11.11% from beyond the 3-point arc. In contrast, John Brown shot a 48.15% field goal percentage in the first half. The halftime score reflected John Brown's shooting, with the Golden Eagles leading 35-22.

However, Texas Wesleyan staged a comeback in the second half, displaying improved shooting at 47.37% from the field and 62.50% from three-point range. Kris Lafayette and Adetokunbo Bakare led the offensive charge for Texas Wesleyan, each contributing 19 points. Micale Mee was also able to drop 13 points for the Rams. Despite the second-half surge, Texas Wesleyan couldn't overcome the deficit created in the first half.

John Brown's balanced attack, led by Drew Miller's 21 points and Malachi Reeves' 17 points helped secure the victory. The team maintained a solid shooting performance, finishing with a 43.6% overall field goal

percentage.

Statistically, points in the paint heavily favored Texas Wesleyan's score is 38 compared to John Brown's score of 22, emphasizing their inside presence.
