MBB: Rams Fall Short in Opening Round


OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - On Thursday, Texas Wesleyan faced off against Mid-America Christian in the opening round of the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament falling 79-56.  

After a competitive first half, the Rams struggled in the second half, allowing Mid-America Christian to secure a substantial lead. Adetokunbo Bakare led Texas Wesleyan's offensive efforts with 20 points, making 6 out of 15 field goals, including 2 three-pointers. Kipplyn Richvine contributed 10 points, while Isaiah Marin added 6 points for the team.

The team's overall performance saw a decline in the second half, with a lower field goal percentage of 30.43% and three-point percentage of 18.18%. They concluded the game with a field goal percentage of 37.8%, a three-point percentage of 26.3%, and a free throw percentage of 73.9%.
