Fort Worth, TX - The Texas Wesleyan University softball team took on crosstown rivals, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University Lady Lions and the Rams in a four-game series over the weekend. The Rams would split games on day one and close out day two with two wins to improve to 11-5 in conference play.

Game 1
Game one would see the Rams win in dominating fashion as the Lady Lions struggled in the opening game, falling to a 10-4 defeat against Texas Wesleyan. The Rams would score 10 runs of 13 hits with no errors.

Abbie Bird,
KK Moore, and
EB Zimmerman would each finish with a pair of runs in the win.
Game 2
The Lady Lions would bounce back in game two, capturing a 5-2 victory over the Rams to even everything up. SAGU would put up continued her offensive performance and some nice pitching to stall the Rams' from grabbing the win.
Game 3
Texas Wesleyan would come out the gate swinging to take the 5-0 lead at the top of the 1
st inning over SAGU. The Lady Lions would go on to score a couple of runs of their own to keep things close but were unable to catch the Rams as they would go on to win the contest 7-4.

Game 4
The final game of the series would have Texas Wesleyan taking the victory over SAGU in a 7-5 victory. The two teams would remain scoreless until the top of the 3
rd inning where the Rams would send two runners home to take the 2-0 lead. After scoring another run in the 5ht inning the Rams would break free in the 6
th scoring four runs to take a commanding 7-1 lead over the Lady Lions. Not to be outdone, SAGU would come storming back with four runs of their own in the bottom of the 7
th to keep things interesting. Texas Wesleyan would go on to close out the game to take the 3-1 series win over SAGU.

The Rams will look to extend their winning streak to six games when they host Mid America Christian University for a four-game Sooner Athletic Conference series beginning with a doubleheader
