FB: Rams Look to Remain Undefeated Against Stallions

FORT WORTH, TX — Texas Wesleyan University will meet North American University on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Crowley ISD Multi-Purpose Stadium, as the Rams aim to extend their dominance over the Stallions.

Texas Wesleyan holds a 2-0 series lead, having outscored North America 126-17 across their previous two matchups. The Rams' most recent win came on Sept. 9, 2023, in a commanding 65-10 victory in Houston.

Texas Wesleyan (TXWES) is coming off a narrow 35-33 win over No. 16 Ottawa University Arizona (OUAZ) in their conference opener last week. The Rams led 21-10 at halftime, with quarterback Carson Rodgers connecting on a 68-yard touchdown pass to Michael Banks and running back Ernest Ceasar adding two rushing touchdowns.

OUAZ fought back in the second half, closing the gap with a 42-yard touchdown run by Jaylen Magee. However, Ceasar's 55-yard run in the third quarter sealed the victory, and the Rams held possession in the final minutes to secure the win.

Meanwhile, North American University (NAU) struggled in their previous game, falling 41-6 to Wayland Baptist in Stafford, Texas. The Stallions' only score came in the second quarter when Roland Harvey found wide receiver Jordan Green for a touchdown.

Wayland Baptist dominated, leading 21-6 at halftime, and extended their lead in the second half with two field goals and a touchdown.

Looking ahead to the matchup, Texas Wesleyan will look to continue its high-scoring success against North America.

The Rams have averaged 63 points per game in the series, while North American will seek to bounce back and challenge TXWES' potent offense in this NAIA clash.
