OKLAHOMA CITY - Cole Francis of Texas Wesleyan University was named as the Sooner Athletic Conference Football Offensive player of the week. Announced by the conference on Monday.

Francis lifted the Rams to a 24-13 victory over Wayland Baptist, which helped Texas Wesleyan claim a share of the conference championship with Ottawa University (AZ) and Louisiana Christian, by going 14-of-19 through the air for 196 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while finishing the day with a passing efficiency rating of 195.1. Francis also rushed eight times for 31 yards. Francis was named as the SAC player of the week for the second time this year, previously winning it on October 13.
