FORT WORTH, TX - Texas Wesleyan University (18-8, 14-8 SAC) secured a crucial 75-65 victory over Oklahoma City University (10-17, 6-17 SAC) at the Sid Richardson Center.

The game started as a tight battle, with both teams trading baskets in the early minutes. Oklahoma City's Brandon Wilson was dominant in the first half, scoring efficiently from the field and beyond the arc. He led all scorers with 34 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including 5-of-6 from three-point range.

Yorgio Golesis added 16 points, shooting a perfect 3-of-3 from deep.

Despite their efforts, Texas Wesleyan managed to take a 38-34 lead at halftime, capitalizing on turnovers and second-chance points.

Texas Wesleyan came out strong in the second half, building an early eight-point lead with key plays from Vegas Evans and Trey Sinegal. Oklahoma City continued to fight back, cutting the deficit to just one point midway through the half behind Wilson and Golesis. However, Texas Wesleyan responded with timely buckets from Kaden Morgan and Richard Amaefule, maintaining their advantage.

A crucial three-pointer by Anthony Sierras in the final minutes stretched Texas Wesleyan's lead to seven, giving them the momentum to close out the game. Montez Young Jr. played a vital role off the bench, leading Texas Wesleyan with 20 points and five rebounds. Evans contributed 17 points and eight rebounds, while Morgan and Sierras each added 10 points.

Texas Wesleyan's defensive pressure proved decisive, forcing 20 turnovers and limiting Oklahoma City's offensive rhythm in the closing minutes.

Despite Oklahoma City's resilience and a strong individual performance from Wilson, Texas Wesleyan's balanced scoring attack and defensive execution sealed the win.

The Rams outscored Oklahoma City 37-31 in the second half, using their depth and efficiency to secure the victory.

The Rams will play Langston University on the road on Thursday with a scheduled start time of 7:45 p.m.
