Oklahoma City – Texas Wesleyan's Dominic Chavez has been named the Sooner Athletic Conference Oklahoma Ford Dealers Men's Wrestler of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Chavez earned SAC/AMC Most Outstanding Wrestler honors at the conference's qualifying tournament after posting a 2-0 record, securing a pinfall and a technical fall to claim the 133-pound title. He was also named the SAC Wrestler of the Year after finishing the season with a dominant 25-1 record.

Other nominees for the weekly award included Emmett Bivens of Wayland Baptist and Cade Manion of Oklahoma City.
