MBB: Rams Beat Ozarks at Home, 75-45

FORT WORTH, TX – Texas Wesleyan University (15-8, 11-8 SAC) dominated both ends of the floor in a 75-45 victory over College of the Ozarks (8-14, 6-14 SAC) on Saturday at the Sid Richardson Center. 

The Rams set the tone early with an 8-0 run led by Richard Amaefule, who controlled the paint with multiple layups. Kaden Morgan and Matt Nero knocked down key three-pointers to extend the lead, helping the Rams take a 32-21 advantage into halftime.

College of the Ozarks struggled offensively, shooting 30% from the field and 26% from beyond the arc. Andrew Dalton led the Bobcats with 12 points, while Garrett Snyder added nine. The Rams' defense forced 14 turnovers and held the Bobcats to 16 points in the paint.

The Rams pulled away in the second half with a balanced scoring effort. Trey Sinegal led all scorers with 18 points, shooting 7-of-15 from the field, including three three-pointers. Nero finished with 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting from deep, while Amaefule posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Texas Wesleyan shot 46.3% from the field and controlled the boards with a 45-28 rebounding advantage. The Rams also capitalized on second-chance opportunities, scoring 12 points off offensive rebounds.

A late shot by Hamilton Wallace sealed the Rams' largest lead of the game at 30 points with 13 seconds remaining.

The Rams return to action against Langston University on Monday at 7:45 p.m. in the Sid Richardson Center.
