Texas Wesleyan earned a set-piece chance when Jimena Aguilar took a corner at 60:27, but Science and Arts followed with a saved shot at 61:01 and Gudmundsdottir's goal at 62:47 for a 2-0 score. After the goal, Texas Wesleyan withstood another run of pressure through 73:05, as Hardy made saves at 63:30, 64:40 and 69:13 while Science and Arts also hit the post, earned three corners and sent a shot wide. Hardy added a save at 75:50, and the match finished with Texas Wesleyan falling 2-0.
