ARLINGTON - Texas Wesleyan University men and women both go 1-1 to start their homestead by beating Ottawa (AZ) and falling to Our Lady of the Lake. The women suffer their first loss and fall to 14-1 while the men move to 9-5 on the year.

Men's Results

Texas Wesleyan secured the doubles point with victories on courts one and three. Wil Bayliss and Alejo Zurmendi opened with a commanding 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles over Arvid Lindbald and Filip Novacek. The pairing of Yoni Danzic and Ahmed Elkassas followed suit at No. 3 doubles, defeating Albin By and Maimiliano Lopez Gonzalez, 6-2. The match at No. 2 doubles between Adriano Andrade and Malte Sommer and OUAZ's Fabian Wetter and Kasper Olofsson was left unfinished with the score at 4-3 in favor of the Rams.

In singles, Texas Wesleyan continued to dominate, starting with Malte Sommer's decisive 6-0, 6-2 victory over Maimiliano Lopez Gonzalez at No. 5 singles. Alejo Zurmendi added another point at No. 4 singles, overcoming Kasper Olofsson in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1. The match was clinched by Wil Bayliss at No. 2 singles, who secured a 6-1, 6-2 win against Filip Novacek.

Adriano Andrade further extended the Rams' lead at No. 1 singles by defeating Arvid Lindbald, 6-2, 6-4. Yoni Danzic's match at No. 3 singles against Fabian Wetter was unfinished with Danzic leading 7-6, while Ahmed Elkassas's match at No. 6 singles against Boston McFarland remained incomplete with no games played.

Jacob Gailey and Eliot Costa clinched the point by defeating Yoni Danzic and Ahmed Elkassas 6-4 at No. 3 doubles. Texas Wesleyan's Adriano Andrade and Malte Sommer managed a win at No. 2 doubles, 6-2, against Corentin Fusaro and Pietro Guimaraes.

In singles, Jaroslav Majsajdr of Our Lady of the Lake started strong with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Andrade at No. 1 singles. Eliot Costa added another point for Our Lady of the Lake with a comeback win at No. 2 singles, defeating Bayliss 1-6, 6-3, 7-5. Texas Wesleyan picked up a point at No. 3 singles, where Danzic secured a straight-set victory, 6-3, 6-1, over Prod'homme.

Gabriel Nogueira further extended Our Lady of the Lake's lead with a hard-fought 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 win at No. 4 singles against Zurmendi. At No. 5 singles, Fusaro claimed a win in a three-set battle, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(7), over Sommer. The final singles match saw Louis Bocquet of Our Lady of the Lake defeat Elkassas 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6 singles, sealing the overall victory.

The match at No. 2 doubles was unfinished, with Kaja Brunzlow and Carla Arce Fernandez leading 4-2 against Sienna Johnson and Martina Antich.

In singles, Texas Wesleyan expanded its lead with a straight-set win from Carla Arce Fernandez, who defeated Sienna Johnson 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Hudson added another point for Texas Wesleyan at No. 2 singles, overcoming Pugh 6-3, 6-3. OUAZ earned a point at No. 1 singles as Martina Antich rallied to defeat Ege in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Magday delivered a key victory for Texas Wesleyan at No. 3 singles, edging out Kostoff 2-6, 7-6(7), 7-6(3) in a tightly contested match. Meghan Connoly then closed out the day at No. 5 singles, securing a 6-3, 6-2 win over Rusinova. Mai Tsushima's match at No. 6 singles against Hawkins was left unfinished, with Tsushima leading 6-0, 5-2, as the overall team victory was already determined.
