GULF SHORES, AL - Texas Wesleyan University (17-12) finished their beach volleyball season with a trip to Gulf Shores to participate in the AVCA Small College Beach Volleyball Champions and came home with a top three finish as the Rams finished in third place with eight teams from the NAIA competing.

The Rams started their tournament run as the top seed in Pool B for pool play, as they were paired with Ottawa (KS) and Mobile (AL), the Rams got things off on the right foot early with a quick 3-1 victory over Ottawa (KS), followed by a 3-2 victory over Mobile (AL) to give the Rams a bye going into the championship bracket. 

The Championship bracket started with the Rams facing off with Park (MO), the Rams unfortunately fell in close matches with the Pirates as they lost 1-3 and were headed to the third place match. The Rams were slated to take on Mobile (AL) once again in the match to determine who would take home third place. The Rams dominated, sweeping Mobile (AL) by a score of 3-0 to take home third place.
