OKLAHOMA CITY — Texas Wesleyan University (29-24) had a mixed day at Ann Lacy Stadium, narrowly edging out Langston University (18-27) 10–9 in their first game, before falling to Oklahoma City (46-7) in a closely contested matchup, with a final score of 7–6.
In the first game against Langston, Texas Wesleyan opened the scoring in the first inning when
Haylie Delarosa doubled and later scored on
Payton Blanco's single, leading 1–0 after one inning. The Rams significantly extended their lead in the second inning:
Christina Jackson singled and was driven home by
Mattee Fry's double. Delarosa's triple brought in two more runs,
Rachet Houston added another run with a double, and Blanco capped the inning with a two-run homer, putting the Rams ahead 7–1.
Langston narrowed the gap in the third inning with four runs, but Texas Wesleyan responded with two runs of its own as Delarosa and Houston scored on singles by Blanco and
Kylie Barnes, maintaining a 9–5 lead. Although Langston added three runs in the fourth inning, Texas Wesleyan held a slim 9–8 advantage. In the fifth inning,
Kadynce Crenshaw scored on a sacrifice fly by Blanco, bringing the score to 10–9. Both teams were held scoreless in the sixth and seventh innings, allowing Texas Wesleyan to secure the win.
Barnes delivered a strong performance, pitching 5 2/3 innings and allowing two earned runs on seven hits while recording five strikeouts without issuing a walk. She threw 72 pitches, 56 of which were strikes, contributing to her 18th win of the season. Delarosa led the way by scoring three runs and collecting four hits, including a double and a triple, while driving in two RBIs. Blanco added a powerful three-hit performance, scoring once and driving in five runs with a home run. Houston contributed two hits, including a double, and scored twice, while also driving in one run.
In their second game against Oklahoma City, Texas Wesleyan notched 10 hits but could not overcome a four-run fifth inning by the Stars. Oklahoma City took an early lead in the second inning when Gabby Moreno scored on a single by Kaiden Spidell, making it 1–0. In the fourth inning, Moreno scored again for Oklahoma City on a series of errors, increasing its lead to 2–0. Texas Wesleyan responded as

Payton Blanco each scored, with Blanco's run coming off an error, bringing the score to 2–2.
The fifth inning saw a surge of scoring with Oklahoma City posting four runs, highlighted by Peyton Barrow's 2-RBI double, to make it 6–2. Texas Wesleyan narrowed the gap with a 3-run inning of its own, including a 2-RBI single by
Kylie Barnes, bringing the score to 6–5. In the sixth, both teams added a run; Tara Hoehner's RBI double added to Oklahoma City's tally, while
EB Zimmerman scored for Texas Wesleyan on a single by Delarosa, keeping the game close at 7–6. The seventh inning was scoreless for both teams, and Oklahoma City held on to its lead, resulting in a final score of 7–6.
