HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Texas Wesleyan (0-1-0) was defeated by William Carey (MS) (1-0-0) with a final score of 6-0 on Thursday night. William Carey tallied three goals in each half to secure the win.
The first period began with Texas Wesleyan showing defensive resilience as goalkeeper
Rafael Dos Santos made crucial saves, including one against Daniel Mulero's attempt in the 15th minute. Despite this, William Carey broke the deadlock in the 18th minute with a goal from Jean Danitanga, assisted by Souleymane Balde.
As the period progressed, the visiting team faced increased pressure, resulting in two more goals from William Carey. Daniel Mulero scored in the 31st minute, and Kenson Pierre extended the lead in the 36th minute with Mulero's assist. The Rams' efforts to respond were contained, closing the period trailing 3-0.
