NORMAN - Texas Wesleyan University's men's golf team earned national academic recognition from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), receiving the 2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award for its success in the classroom.
The Rams were one of 11 NAIA programs recognized with the GCAA's Presidents Special Recognition after posting a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year. Texas Wesleyan was among a GCAA-record 155 programs across six collegiate divisions to earn the distinction.
The GCAA also recognized a record 331 schools nationwide with a 2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award. In the NAIA, Texas A&M-San Antonio was named the Academic National Champion after recording the division's highest team GPA.
The PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Awards honor collegiate golf programs that demonstrate excellence in the classroom, while the Presidents Special Recognition is awarded to teams that achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher during the academic year.
