LE MARS  — Texas Wesleyan University finished seventh in the 14-team field at the Northwest Iowa National Invitational, with the Rams combining for a 10-under-par 842 over three rounds Monday and Tuesday at LeMars Willow Creek Golf Club.

The Rams opened with a 285 before posting a tournament-low 275 in the second round and closing with a 282. OUAZ won the team championship at 27-under 825, followed by Embry-Riddle at 23-under 829 and Friends at 21-under 831.

Kolbe Fielder led Texas Wesleyan's team lineup, tying for 14th at 5-under 208. Fielder opened with a 69, followed with a 66 and finished with a 73.

Haroon Aslam finished tied for 19th at 3-under 210 after carding three consecutive rounds of 70.

Colin Price tied for 31st at even-par 213. Price opened with a 76 before improving to a 70 in the second round and closing with a tournament-best 67.

Luke Akerman tied for 46th at 3-over 216 after posting three consecutive rounds of 72.

Jose Manuel Sanchez rounded out the Texas Wesleyan team lineup, tying for 50th at 4-over 217. Sanchez shot rounds of 74, 69 and 74.

Competing as an individual, Sebastian Velasquez delivered the best individual finish of the Texas Wesleyan contingent. Velasquez tied for fifth at 9-under 204 after shooting a 66 in the opening round and 69 in each of the final two rounds.

Texas Wesleyan's five team golfers combined to help the Rams finish 10 strokes under par, while Velasquez's top-five individual performance gave the Rams another strong finish on the individual leaderboard.

The Northwest Iowa National Invitational was Texas Wesleyan's third tournament of the 2026-27 season. The Rams previously finished fourth at the Mid-South Classic and third at the Texas Intercollegiate.

Texas Wesleyan returns to action Oct. 5-6 at the USW Fall Invitational in Hobbs, New Mexico.
