In the 2025 season, Freddy Joya played a crucial role for Texas Wesleyan, participating in 11 of the team's 12 games. As the primary kicker, Joya led the team in several categories, including field goals, extra point kicks, PAT kick attempts, and PAT kicks made. Over the course of the season, he attempted 19 field goals and successfully converted 16 of them, achieving a season-long field goal of 45 yards against Wayland Baptist on November 15.
Joya also demonstrated consistency in extra point situations, making 41 out of 44 attempts.
One of his standout performances came on November 1 against Oklahoma Panhandle State, where Joya was perfect on his field goal attempts, converting all five and adding four extra points. He matched this precision on October 11 against Louisiana Christian, making all four of his field goal attempts and seven extra points. Additionally, Joya's kicking prowess was highlighted again on October 4 against Arkansas Baptist College, where he made a 33-yard field goal and five extra points.
