Biography
2013-14: Played all eleven events as a junior...set new school records with a scoring average of 78.75 and a low round of 72 at the Sonoma State Invitational (4/8/14)...became the programs first individual medalist topping the field of 43 golfers at UT-Tyler's Al Jones Memorial (10/1/13)...finished third at UT-Brownsville's Ocelot Invitational while leading the Lady Rams to a runner-up finish...also posted top-ten finishes at Northwood's Bluebonnet Classic (4/1/14) and the Sonoma State Invitational (4/8/14)...finished tied for 15th at the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship (4/22/14).
2012-13: Played in seven events as a sophmore for the Lady Rams...set the lowest round record at 77 in the second round of the DBU Classic...finished eighth out of 35 individuals at the RRAC Championship with a line of 80-82--162 (+18)...won the PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship in 2013 and claimed the national title after finishing with a total score of 223 (77-72-74).
Prior to Wesleyan: Produced three top ten finishes for the University of Mobile with low round of 79 and 77.
High School: A 1st team All-District and 2nd team All-State selection as a captian in basketball...won FCA Female Athlete of the Year for NE Louisiana...selected for the Louisiana Junior Cup team...had a top ten finish in the Louisiana State Regionals in 2011...finished top ten in the 2011 LWGA State Championship.
Personal: Alexis Belton...born June 9th in Louisiana...daughter of Alana and John Belton...majoring in Mass Communications.
