Prior to Wesleyan: Played for head coach Russ Luce at Chandler-Gilbert Community College...named 1st-team All-Conference and 1st-team All-Region as a sophomore after hitting .400 (76-190) and slugging .642 with 7 HR's and 44 RBI...led the team in HR, H, and RBI...batted .308 with a HR and 31 RBI as a freshman.

High School: Played for coach Jim Schilling at Basha High School.

Personal: Born James E. Ziegler III on January 17, 1995, in Aliso Viejo, CA...son of Pamela Ziegler...has one sister, Jenna...is majoring in criminal justice.
