Biography

2009:  Started all 20 games as a sophomore…recorded a school record nine shutouts…notched a 1.20 GAA…worked all 107 minutes and made five saves during a 1-0 win over Oklahoma Baptist (9/5)…recorded a season-high eight saves in a 2-0 loss at Texas Woman’s (9/11) and a 2-1 loss against UT-Brownsville (10/10)…did not allow a goal in five consecutive games, over 488 minutes (10/17-11/6)…named RRAC Defensive Player of the Week three times.

 

2008: Played in three games as a freshman...did not allow a goal while making eight saves against ten shots...combined on an 8-0 shutout against Concordia Texas (9/12) and a 6-0 shutout against SAGU (10/11).

 

High School: Played for coach Oscar Bersoza at Temple High School...named Academic All-State.

 

Personal: Born Katy Lynn Houchin, Jan. 2, 1990, in Waco, TX...daughter of Kevin and Melissa Houchin and Tim and Cindy Chadwick...has two sisters, Karly and Kyndall...is majoring in Spanish.
