Biography

2010: Played in all 34 matches, primarily at libero...named 2nd-team All-RRAC...led the team and ranked third in the conference with 456 digs...dished out 33 assists and notched 29 service aces...recorded double-figures in digs 26 times and 20 or more digs four times...in an RRAC Tournament match against SAGU (11/12), notched 40 digs, marking the first 40-dig match by a Lady Ram since 2007.

Prior to Wesleyan: A two-time 1st-team All-South Coast Conference selection for head coach Tammy Silva at Pasadena City College…set a school record with 322 digs as a freshman…notched 314 digs as a sophomore while leading the Lancers to a record of 23-2…also a two-time All-Conference selection in softball at PCC.
 
High School: A four-time All-Del Rio League selection for coach John Horwath at California High School…named MVP of the Del Rio League and Whittier Area as a senior.
 
Personal: Born Marissa Rangel on Mar. 20, 1990, in Montebello, CA…daughter of Robert and Eva Rangel…has three sisters, Nicole, Jacqueline and Erika…is majoring in liberal studies.
