One of the top facitities to host collegiate baseball in the country, the stadium has a history unmatched by any ballpark in Texas.
LaGrave Field has hosted baseball in two eras, 1926-1964 and 2002-present. In 2002, the modern LaGrave Field was built on the site of the old ballpark. In fact, home plate sits exactly where it did in 1926 when the original facility opened.
Numerous Hall of Famers have played at LaGrave Field. In fact, the very dugouts where the likes of Hank Aaron, Rogers Hornsby, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Jackie Robinson, and Ted Williams once sat still stand next to the modern dugouts used by the Rams today.
With a gorgeous view of downtown Fort Worth beyond the right field fence and the Trinity River Trail beyond the left field fence LaGrave Field is an excellent site to enjoy a game. The Stadium is a perfect blend of past and present with a state of the art sound system and video board as well as an old fashioned manual scoreboard.
LaGrave Field has a capacity of 5,000. The dimensions of the field are 325-feet in left field, 400-feet in centerfield, and 335-feet in right field.
