Travis Spencer is in his first season as a graduate assistant for head coach Mike Jeffcoat.
Spencer played two seasons at Texas Wesleyan, helping the Rams to a Red River Athletic Conference Championship and back-to-back appearances in the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round finals. He was named 2nd-team All-RRAC after hitting .358 with 8 HR’s and 40 RBI as a junior. In his senior season, he hit .383 with 6 HR’s and 39 RBI. For his career he was a .370 hitter with 14 HR’s and 79 RBI.
Prior to Wesleyan, Spencer redshirted two seasons at TCU. He played his freshman season at Texas State University before transferring to Grayson Community College.
Spencer is a product of Mesquite High School where he was named 1st-team All-District and Offensive Player of the Year.
