2014: Named 1st-team All-Sooner Athletic Conference and Carroll Beringer SABR Metroplex Small College Player of the Year...played and started 50 games as a junior...batted .411 with 6 HR's and 39 RBI...was succesful on 11-of-12 stolen base attempts...led the team in batting average, H's (69), HR's, RBI, TB's (108), SB's, multi-hit games (22), and multi-RBI games (10)...went 3-for-4 with 3 2B's, 4 RBI, and 2 R's against Southwestern Christian (4/11)...batted .436 (17-for-39) during a season-best 13-game hitting streak (3/18-4/4) with 2 HR's, a 3B, 6 2B's and 11 RBI.

2013: A 2nd-team All-RRAC selection...named team MVP...played in all 59 games including 58 starts...batted .352 and slugged .462 with an OBP of .417...racked up 70 hits including a team-high 16 doubles and two home runs...successful on 25 of 26 stolen base attempts...had 25 multi-hit games, including a 4-for-6 day with a double and three runs scored in a win over Texas College (3/25-2).

2012: Made 51 appearances and 49 starts in his first season as a freshman for Texas Wesleyan...fielded .988 (81 putouts, four assists, one error)...batted .263 with 36 runs, 44 hits, six doubles, one triple, 23 RBI and three home runs.

High School: Played for coach Fred Oliver at Highland Park High School...made All-State baseball his senior and junior seasons...played in the Texas High School Coaches All-Star game in baseball and in football...an All-State Football Safety  his junior season...named first team All-District and Metroplex Football...District MVP and All-State in football in his senior season.

Personal: Born Jake Howeth on Oct. 22, 1992, in Abilene, TX...son of Mark and Penney Howeth...has three brothers, Jon, Mark, and Jeff...is majoring in finance.
