 In the 2025 season, Cameron Smith of Texas Wesleyan played in 11 of 12 games, contributing as both a receiver and a rusher. Throughout the season, Smith amassed 281 receiving yards on 18 receptions, including two touchdowns. He demonstrated his receiving capability with a season-long catch of 53 yards and a touchdown against Texas College on September 13. Smith's versatility was further showcased with a rushing touchdown on his sole rushing attempt in the game against Louisiana Christian on October 11, where he also recorded five receptions for 50 yards.

Smith's notable performances included a three-reception, 59-yard game against Nelson (Texas) on September 27, where he also scored a touchdown. In addition, he had a four-reception, 32-yard outing against William Penn (IA) on November 22.
