Chris Leichus joined the Texas Wesleyan staff in 2020. Prior to coaching with Texas Wesleyan, he coached at Del Oro High School and Rocklin High School in Sacramento, Calif. At Del Oro High School, Chris coached linebackers and special teams and went to three consecutive Sac Joaquin Section Championship games, winning in 2010-2011 and also coached in the 2011 California Division 2 State Championship game. At Rocklin High School, he coached defensive backs and special teams and also assisted with college recruiting. He helped Rocklin reach the Sac Joaquin Section Championship game in 2015 and coached multiple players at Del Oro and Rocklin who went on to play at the collegiate level.

Chris graduated from the University of the Pacific in 1991. He and his wife Marlene have two sons and a grandson. Ryan played for Texas Wesleyan in 2018-2019 and now lives with his wife Ariann in Ft. Worth. Chad and his fiance, Cassidy and their son, Carsen, live in Rocklin, Calif.
