JAYSEN PRICE | ASSISTANT WIDE RECIEVERS COACH

Former All-American Jaysen Price is in his first season as a Graduate Assistant Coach, working with the wide receivers at Texas Wesleyan University. A recent standout player at Texas Wesleyan University (TXWES) from 2021-2024, he brings a wealth of on-field experience and a proven track record of excellence to his coaching role. 

During his playing career, Price established himself as one of the most dynamic return specialists in college football. In 2022, he earned 1st Team AP All-American Return Specialist honors, was named the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Athlete of the Year,and was recognized as the All-Texas Sub-FBS Kick Returner. His exceptional performance continued into 2023, when he was selected as a CFB Network Preseason 1st Team All-American Return Specialist. In 2024, he capped his career with 1st Team All-SAC Punt Returner honors and was a semi-finalist for the prestigious William V. Campbell Trophy, recognizing his leadership, academic success, and on-field performance. He was also named the 2024 TXWES Football Champion of Character for his exemplary sportsmanship and integrity. 

Price holds the No. 6 all-time single-season punt return average in college football history (25.26 yards) and set a TXWES record with a 109-yard touchdown, the longest in school history. As a three-time Sooner Athletic Conference champion, he contributed to an impressive 34-8 college record during his playing career. 

Now transitioning his passion and expertise to coaching, Price is dedicated to developing the next generation of wide receivers, drawing on his elite playmaking experience and commitment to leadership both on and off the field.Â
