Manny Freeland is the Quarterback Coach and Graphic Design Coordinator for Head Coach Joe Prud’home.
 
Freeland brings a total of five years coaching experience to the program.  He graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2015.  Freeland is no stranger to rebooting a college program.  At WBU, he was the first quarterback to sign with Pioneers after they restarted their football program in 2011.  After his freshman year Manny was offered the opportunity to begin his coaching career as a student assistant and served in that capacity for three seasons working primarily with the offense, but also with the defensive backs, special teams and film breakdown to assist position coaches.
 
Upon graduation, Freeland was hired as the Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach for 2A Louise, TX, where he led his squad to an average of 39.4 points and 423.4 yards of offensive production per game along with a school record for points scored in a season.  Louise finished with an 8-3 record and advanced to the second round of the UIL playoffs.  He coached 1st-team All-State quarterback Eric Lucio and 2nd-team All-State wide receiver Carlos Garcia.  Freeland also served as the Head Baseball Coach for Louise.
 
In 2016, he served as the Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach for 3A Tidehaven High School.  The offense averaged 35.8 points and 406.8 yards of offensive production.  Tidehaven finished with an 8-3 record and advanced to the second round of the UIL playoffs. 
 
Freeland was recently engaged to Shelby Kotulek.
