Tyrone Johnson will serve as running backs coach under Head Coach Joe Prud’homme.
Johnson has a variety of coaching experience at numerous youth football camps such as the National Football Academy (NFA) where he specialized in coaching quarterbacks and wide receivers.
Johnson also serves as a National Remote Scout for NCSA Athletic Recruiting, specializing in evaluating high school football athletes. In 2012 he worked in association with the Directors of Marketing, Ticketing, Game Day Operations for the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League.
Johnson played quarterback at Mayfair High School in Lakewood, CA, leading his team to a CIF Southern Division 6Championship in 2001.
He received his bachelor of arts in kinesiology from UT-Arlington in 2011 and is working toward a master’s degree in sports management at Lasell College.
Johnson currently resides in Fort Worth with his wife Jasmine and children, Troy (3) and Trent (2).
