Jose Garcia enters his second season (2026-27) as an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Texas Wesleyan University.

Garcia brings over a decade of coaching experience to the program. Prior to joining the collegiate ranks, he spent eleven years coaching at the high school level, beginning his coaching career in 2013. Throughout his career, he has been committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the court while creating a competition culture built on discipline, relationships and continuous improvement.

During the 2025-26 season, Garcia contributed to player development and game preparation that helped the Rams achieve success on the national stage.

Garcia played basketball at Greenville University from 2010 to 2012. He currently resides in Fort Worth with his wife, Cristianna and daughter, Elianna.
