Prior to Wesleyan: Played two seasons at Dallas Baptist under head coach Blake Flickner...played in 27 games for the Patriots averaging 8.4 minutes per game as a freshman...played 12 games and averaged 3.6 points and 1.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore.
 
High School: A 1st-team All-State selection for coach Billy Goffney at New Waverly High School...also named 1st-team All-District and 1st-team All-Region.
 
Personal: Born Joseph Carrington on Dec. 6, 1990, in Conroe, TX...son of Willie and Tonya Carrington...has one brother and two sisters...is majoring in education.
