Prior to Wesleyan: Played one season for heac coach Steve McClain at NCAA Division I University of Illinois Chicago...played in all 27 games, including 17 starts, and averaged 6.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game...notched back-to-back double-doubles with 12 points and 16 rebounds against Youngstown State and 17 points and 15 rebounds against Cleveland State...in a 10-game stretch in January and February he racked up four double-doubles while averaging 7.5 points and 9.3 rebounds per game...played sophomore season at Lincoln College where he averaged 14.1 points and 8.5 rebounds per game and was named 2nd-team All-American and Team MVP...college career began at Kirkwood College where he averaged 10.5 points and 4.6 boards per game... in just his second collegiate game, scored 26 points in 20 minutes of action against Indian Hills Community College (11/3/13).

High School: A two-time All-State selection for coach Dave Mlachnik at West Allis Central high School in the Milqaukee suberb of West Allis...named 1st-team All-Region and 2nd-team All-State in both his junior and senior seasons...helped West Allis to a conference Championship in 2012.

Personal: Born Najeal JeWane Young on February 27, 1994, in Milwaukee, WI...son of Dale Young and Tamara Sinclair...has five brothers, Lydell, Darius, Michael, Arius, and Damarion, and seven sisters, Unique, Shayla, Taleesa, Allana, Daisha, Malani, and Kyrielle...is majoring in criminal justice.
