High School: Played for coach Brad Oestreich at Raytown South High School, where the team won the Conference Championship his senior year in 2012.

Personal: Born Ryan Emerson McDowell on Feb. 4, 1994, in Kansas City, MO...son of James and Denise McDowell...has one brother, Andrew McDowell...is majoring in criminal justice.
