Greg Sexton joins the Men’s Golf staff after retiring from a successful 40-year career in the financial services industry.
Sexton served as a Board Member for the First Tee Fort Worth and as a First Tee Coach, assisting Coach Long for over ten years. During Sexton’s tenure as a volunteer and Board Member at First Tee, the chapter saw exponential growth and developed into one of the best First Tee chapters in the nation. Sexton’s youth-focused leadership played a significant role in that success.
Coach Sexton’s focus at Texas Wesleyan will be bringing the NAIA “character-driven athlete” and core values initiatives to the Rams players and team. After joining the program for the second semester of the 23-24 season, Coach Sexton was instrumental in developing the younger players and was pivotal in developing the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship and the NAIA Runners-Up team.
