Biography
2010-11: Played in seven varsity events...notched a season scoring average of 73.83 and was named 2nd-team All-American...won his first tournament with the Rams, shooting eight-under at the Charles Coody Intercollegiate, while matching the second best score through 36 in program history at 134...tied for sixth at the Northwood Fall Shootout...contributed a third-round 67 to help the Rams jump from 14th to 9th and tied for 31st individually at the NAIA National Championship.
Prior to Wesleyan: Played two seasons for head coach Mike Hagen at Indian Hills Community College...finished fourth at NJCAA Nationals as a freshman and third as a sophomore.
High School: A three-time 1st-team All-State selection for coach Eric Perry at Clear Lake High School...a two-time conference champion...a two-time sectional and district champion.
Personal: Born Zach Monson on May 23, 1990, in Clear Lake, IA...son of Dan Monson and Dawn Hejna...has one sister, Madison...is majoring in exercise science.
