Hector Sanchez

Hector Sanchez joined the coaching staff prior to the 2013 season.

Sanchez is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan and played for two seasons under head coach Tyler Powell. As a defender, Sanchez helped guide the Rams to a 20-13-5 record and a NAIA National Tournament Opening Round appearance (2012) for the first time in the history of the program.

In 2011, Sanchez received the Texas Wesleyan Athletic Department “Coaches Award”, celebrating his outstanding play and leadership. In 2012, Sanchez was the only Academic All-American in the entire athletic department for fall sports.

Prior to his playing career at Texas Wesleyan, Sanchez was a four year varsity starter, captain, and an All-District selection at John J. High School. After high school, Sanchez played for two seasons at Cisco Junior College where he helped lead the Wranglers to a No. 11 national ranking in 2009. Sanchez was also a member of The Classics Elite Academy, a top Division I soccer club in San Antonio.

Sanchez has coached many camps in the San Antonio area as well as around the DFW region. Sanchez holds a USSF National “D” coaching license.
