Gabe Garrido enters his second season (2026-27) as an Assistant Coach for the Texas Wesleyan University men’s and women’s tennis programs, where he brings championship-level experience, player insight, and a strong foundation in collegiate tennis development.
In his first season on staff alongside Head Coach Wade Morgan, Garrido helped foster a winning culture that produced ITA National Rankings for both the men’s and women’s programs and particularly a historic season for the women's tennis team. His contributions in player training, match preparation, and daily program development have helped strengthen the foundation of TWU Tennis as it continues its rise.
A four-year starter at NCAA Division II Dallas Baptist University, Garrido was a consistent force in the Patriots’ lineup and earned All-Conference honors three times during his collegiate career. As a captain he helped DBU Men's Tennis achieve new heights earning the highest regional rankings in program history. His experience competing at a high level gives him a valuable perspective as he helps mentor and develop TWU student-athletes.
