Darian Dunn is entering her third season (2026) as the assistant coach for Texas Wesleyan University Softball. Dunn brings a wealth of knowledge from playing as well as coaching. Prior to her taking the full time assistant role, she was a volunteer coach for 2023 season for the Rams.

Prior to her tenure coaching at Texas Wesleyan, Dunn was the assistant coach at Dallas Christian College for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. She helped the Crusaders start their softball program in 2021 and was an integral part in their inaugural season as a college. Prior to her college coaching career, she began coaching select ball in the fall of 2017 while also being a college athlete.

As a player, Dunn played second base and outfield at Texas Wesleyan University under the direction of Shannon Gower. She played all four years for the Rams and was instrumental in their success as they played tough opponents in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Dunn finished her playing career with a .310 batting average and had a .875 fielding percentage. 

Dunn Recieved her bachelors in Exercise Science in 2020 from Texas Wesleyan and just received her Master's in December of 2025 from Texas Wesleyan.

In her personal life, One of the few things she loves to do outside is travel. She has a lot of family everywhere and tries to go see them as much as she can. Her favorite states to go to are Oregon, Florida, and Oklahoma. The best state she has been to has to be Oregon though. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and is always a state that she recommend to others. She also loves to read on the time that she has available. Her favorite genres are rom-coms and thrillers. When she isn't traveling or reading, she loves to spend time with her friends and workout on her step machine that she has.

Darian is the oldest of three with her sister Devin who also played softball at Texas Wesleyan, graduated in the spring of 2025 and her younger brother Daylon is a freshman at the University of Oklahoma.
