Jazsmin Nelson

Jazsmin graduated from McKinney High School in 2014.  She was named second team All-district and MVP for the Winter tournament her sophomore year. Nelson also received first team All-district honors her junior and senior year and was selected to the All-Tournament team (Prosper Classic) her senior year.  Nelson went on to play at San Jacinto College for Coach Brenita and Kevin Jackson where they were nationally ranked in the NJCAA D1 Women's basketball Top 25 poll with a record of 23-9.  


Jazsmin finished her playing career at Talladega College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  She earned Player of the Week honors her senior year.  Nelson helped Talladega make history by making an appearance to the NAIA National tournament.  In the program's first trip to the NAIA National Tournament, they advanced to the 2nd round her senior year and finished with a record of 28-6.  Nelson was a member of the Presidential Honor Society with a 4.0 her senior year and a member of Alpha Chi National Honor Society finishing in the top 10 percent of her graduating class.

 Jazsmin will oversee team academics, recruiting and manage the JV team for the Lady Rams.
