Kevin Jackson

Kevin Jackson began his college coaching career in 2010 at Lon Morris College alongside wife, Brenita Jackson. During Kevin’s stint at Lon Morris, between 2010-2012 he coached two All-Americans, six All-Conference winners, four All-Academic winners and one Freshman of the Year.  Jackson created workouts for position-focused training, strength, and conditioning. He was also a vital component in preparation, scouting and film exchange. His recruiting efforts helped guide the 2012 squad to a school record 19 wins and helped earn the program’s first Region XIV freshman of the year.  The 2011 squad boasted three all-conference players, a NJCAA all-American, several members of the Region XIV all-tournament team and an academic all-American. The 2011 Lon Morris team finished as Region XIV Tournament Championship Runner-Ups and set the record for longest win streak in program history.  In 2012, the school shut down which led the couple out to Cisco College where Jackson trained and developed an all-conference guard and assisted in all aspects of the program including 100% graduation rate.

In 2013 the duo went to San Jacinto College in Houston, TX.  Kevin, an energetic and passionate skill developer, recruited and helped developed San Jacinto’s first Region XIV freshman of the year, three All-Americans, three All-Conference winners, two All-Academic players in his first recruiting class. The 2015 squad ranked in the Top 25 all season. He was an integral part of one of the biggest turnarounds in the country after flipping a 3-27 team in 2014 to a 23-9 team in 2015.  Kevin assisted in all operations of the program to capture the best record in over 30 years. In 2015, the couple went to McNeese State University where Kevin assisted with player development, scouting, defensive game planning and community service.  He helped coach the team to 21 wins, a Southland Conference tournament birth and WBI run.  Kevin also coached two All Southland Conference players, one of which went on to play professionally.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Southeastern Louisiana and a Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University-Irvine.   Kevin will oversee guard development, recruiting, scouting, strength and conditioning for the Lady Rams.
