Melissa Gonzalez is a first-year assistant coach for Texas Wesleyan's Cross Country and track and field programs.
Gonzalez graduated from Texas Wesleyan with her bachelor's in 2020 and her master's degree in 2022. She currently serves as a full-time English Teacher in Northwest ISD.
During her six years at Texas Wesleyan, she competed in cross country and track. She is a 4x National Cross-Country Qualifier and a 3x Track and Field National Qualifier. Gonzalez's best finish at the national was in 2022 at the Track and Field Championships, where she finished 11th in the Half Marathon Final.
Gonzalez looks forward to using her experience and knowledge to help other student-athletes in the Texas Wesleyan Cross Country and Track and Field programs.
