Matt Dowler enters his first season (2021) as Volunteer Assistant for TXWES Wreslting.
Matt wrestled for his Father (Thomas) Saint Bernard’s High School in Connecticut. Was a 4-year varsity starter, 3x Conference Champion, 4x state Place winner and 2x CT State Champion. Matt was also a New England place winner and NHSCA All-American. Matt currently holds the state records for career and season pins with a career record of 198-22.
Matt went on to wrestle at Edinboro University (NCAA D1). Although plagued by injuries during his career it didn’t stop him from placing at multiple different open tournaments including winning his last two collegiate matches coming off another serious injury. Matt was also named to the Academic All Mid-American Conference team in 2021.
