Phil Esposito is in his first year as a volunteer assistant coach with the Texas Wesleyan Wrestling Program (2022).

Esposito currently coaches with the successful All-American Wrestling Club in Fort Worth, Texas. Since its creation in 2015, the club has produced 57 All-Americans, including current Ram Lexie Basham. Additionally, the club has sent 26 athletes off to wrestle in college.

While completing his doctoral studies at the University of Michigan, Esposito worked as a volunteer assistant coach with Eastern Michigan University. Before moving to Michigan, he spent two years coaching at Glendale High School in Springfield, Missouri.

Esposito was a four-year letter-winner for NCAA Division II Truman State University (Mo.) from 2000-2005. He earned Academic All-American honors in 2001 & 2002.

Away from coaching, Esposito is an associate professor and undergraduate program director in the Department of Kinesiology at Texas Christian University.
Esposito and his wife, Kerri, were married in 2012 and currently live in Fort Worth with their dog and two cats.
