James McBride is in his fifth year as the Director of Athletic Communications at Texas Wesleyan University. A 2021 graduate of Texas Wesleyan, McBride returned to his alma mater to continue his career in collegiate athletics and serve the university that helped shape his professional journey.
As Director of Athletic Communications, McBride oversees the day-to-day communications and media relations efforts for Texas Wesleyan Athletics. His responsibilities include managing athletic website content, statistics, game notes, press releases, social media, livestreaming, media relations and game-day communications for the university’s athletic programs.
McBride works closely with coaches, student-athletes and members of the media to promote the accomplishments of the Rams and Lady Rams while helping tell the stories of Texas Wesleyan’s student-athletes and teams.
During his tenure, McBride has helped expand the digital presence of Texas Wesleyan Athletics while maintaining and preserving the history, records and traditions of Rams Athletics.
A proud Texas Wesleyan alumnus, McBride is excited to continue contributing to the university and its athletic programs in his fifth year on staff.
