Miranda Cervantes

Miranda Cervantes, ATC, LAT, MS, is in her first year as the head athletic trainer at Texas Wesleyan University, bringing a wealth of experience in sports medicine and athlete care. Originally from Oxnard, Calif., Cervantes holds a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Linfield College and a Master of Science in Kinesiology from Southeastern University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Athletic Training at Temple University, with an anticipated graduation in 2026.

Before joining Texas Wesleyan, Cervantes was the head athletic trainer at Keiser University, where she provided medical care for championship-caliber football, softball, and women’s lacrosse programs. She also served as interim Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine, managing department operations, ensuring compliance, and coordinating athlete care across multiple sports.

Cervantes is certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) and holds additional certifications in kinesiology taping, myofascial cupping, Master Dry Needling, and blood flow restriction. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and is certified in Basic Life Support by the American Red Cross.

Dedicated to fostering athlete health, safety, and performance, Cervantes brings both expertise and a passion for sports medicine to the Rams. Away from the training room, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Ziggy.
