BETHANY, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (12-14) suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of Southern Nazarene University (18-11) on Saturday.
The Crimson Storm beat the Rams with scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-17.
Kristen Venhuizen led all players with 12 kills while hitting .229 for the match. Evoni Darling notched a double-double with 27 assists and 11 digs. Marissa Rangel posted a match-high 13 digs in the loss.
For the match, Texas Wesleyan made 18 errors and hit just .146 while SNU made just eight errors and hit a salty .351. The Crimson Storm front row also came up with an impressive 6.5 block assists.
The Rams will return to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Austin, TX, to take on Huston-Tillotson University. That match is scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. start.
