TYLER, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (15-18, 7-7 RRAC) took a 3-1 win at Texas College (5-27, 3-10) in their regular season finale on Saturday.

 

Texas College came out and took a stunning 25-22 win in game one. The Lady Rams regrouped with a dominating 25-13 game two victory. The Steers proved their prowess, keeping game three close before falling 25-20. The Lady Rams then closed out the match with a 25-13 win in game four.

 

Lynsay Buell led the Rams with 13 kills, while Katherine Rosenbush added nine. Evoni Darling notched 44 assists and 10 digs. Hannah Horton just missed a double-double with 8 kills and 9 digs.

 

At 7-7 in conference play the Lady Rams will be the fifth seed in next week’s Red River Athletic Conference Tournament. The Rams will host that Tournament November 12-13. Texas Wesleyan will start the quarterfinal action on Friday, when they take on Southwestern Assemblies of God University at 12:00 p.m. in the Sid Richardson Center.
